The single red rose signifies the blood they shed for our freedom
The red ribbon symbolizes our continued determination to never forget their sacrifice
The candle represents the light of hope that our other brothers and sisters in arms will return home safely
The Bible symbolizes  the prayers we offer for the Fallen and their family & friends in mourning
The slice of lemon represents the bitter fate of those who died on foreign soil
The pinch of salt signifies the tears shed for those who have fallen
The glass is inverted because they cannot toast with us
The black napkin represents the sorrow for our fallen
The Purple Heart Medal is given to those wounded or killed during combat action
And, the folded American Flag represents the military burial flag given to the family of our fallen
