Star-Spangled Inspirational Quotes about and from Jamie "Razor" Edge: "Razor, I am a few days away from leaving Iraq. It is a different place now. I cannot help but think that change is because of you. I am out here with your former radio operator. He was with you that April day. A day does not go by that we do not celebrate your life and leadership. He will tell me a story of you and I will flash back to our time in LAR (Light Armored Recon). I hope that somehow you know that you are still leading Marines and influencing lives as only a true warrior can. You continue to be in our thoughts and prayers. S/F (Semper Fi)" - Maj Kyle Morris of Camp Taqqadum, Iraq [from Fallen Heroes Memorial]
"Good evening Sir, The men of 2nd Platoon, B Company will never forget that day in Ar Ramadi - you, 2nd Lt Clinton and me sharing your famous history debates and you walking around the berthing areas making sure the Marines were on their toes. I was always impressed by how your presence made the Marines calm in the face of imminent danger and I doubt that I will ever have a leader that exemplifies the corps values and virtues that you did every single day that I had the privilege of serving under your command. Semper Fi, Sir and as I always said when you asked me if my guys were ready......'No Worries Sir, you trained us!' Thank you for your guidance and leadership." - GySgt (Gunnery Sergeant) Matt Woodward of Temecula, CA [from Fallen Heroes Memorial]
Captain Edge, known as a commanding and eloquent officer, was chosen by senior leaders to train Iraqi civil defense forces to take over Fallujah from the Marines. At the conclusion of the first day of training, he gave Iraqi troops a pep talk. "We want the same thing as you -- that order is restored in Fallujah," he told them. "That way, you can go home to your families, and we can do the same thing." [ from ArlingtonCemetery.net ]

Reflections about this Interactive American Flag's (IAF) Honoree - Capt Edge
... reflections will be posted here (from newest to oldest submitted) ...
Capt. Edge, I wish I had the privilege of meeting you before I left the Corps. Stories like yours reinforce why I miss working with fine Marines like you. I am thankful to have discovered your story and share it with Coach Quinn - who was at VMI coaching football when you were a Cadet there. You did VMI, the Marine Corps, Coach Quinn, and I proud by serving as a consummate leader - especially in battle. I'm honored to now know and share your story and to have flown your flag high in front of the Rocky Mountains. - Sean S on 5/6/2019
