Major Brent Taylor of North Ogden, UT
[Brigham Young University - Bachelor's in Political Science in 2006
and Army ROTC alum]
Major Brent Taylor, 39, served as part of Operation Freedom Sentinel (OFS)
a Military Intel Officer in the Utah Army National Guard deployed with Special Operations Joint Task Force in Afghanistan
Taylor died, November 3, 2018, from gunshot wounds sustained during an insider attack in Kabul Afghanistan

June 2003 enlisted in UT Army National Guard (1 of 5 brothers who entered military service)
Married college sweetheart, Jennie Kristin Ashworth, Sep 18, 2003
Joined ROTC at BYU and commissioned as Army Officer in 2006
Graduated from BYU in 2006 with BA in Political Science
Received Master's of Public Administration from Univ of Utah in 2012
Posthumously awarded Ph.D in International Relations from Univ of Utah in 2019
